Memory Sculpture Progress Post #1

So far I am struggling to bring my idea to life. My goal was an offbalace, kind of configuration/combination of an eye and a record. But in order to achieve this vision,

I need concentric circles, which I am struggling to make. I'm not sure I like the look of plaster or clay so I'm trying a few different methods. I'm also worried my sculpture might be too small, or not convey the idea in my head. I really to speed up what I am doing and create a concrete plan. I usually figure things out as I go but I'm not sure that will work for this project. But the one thing I do love is the piece of wood I found with a knot that looks like an eye.
