Oil Painting Process Post #2

I just want to put it out into the universe that I am not a fan of this project. However looking at this image now the painting isn't as bad as I feared. My main issue is brush size and keeping harsh edges. With the cube and vase I have really struggled to define the edges of shadows. My whites keep getting dirty as well, meaning my flowers do not contrast with the background as much as they should. I do like my shadow of the flower on the right, but I think the brushstrokes in the background are kind of distracting. Overall, the painting isn't looking as realistic as it should be. Hopefully by my second or third pass I will be able to fix my values and shapes.
