Progress Post: Project #6

As you can probably tell from the photo, I don't have a clear plan. Right now I just have vibes pictured in my head. I don't really know how to explain it but it's kind of giving samurai in a deconstructed way. I'm thinking of earthy reds and browns and black for the color, japanese roofs for the shape, and a lot of movement. Right now I have some pieces stacked but they are very flat, so I plan on adding things to the ends that make it point upward. I also have a lot of dowel rods that I think are gonna stick out from the bottom and are broken like this thing was lifted from the ground. I wish I could find a really big twisty stick to connect the base to the stack of pieces but I don't know if that's possible. So far I just have little sticks and I plan on only stripping the wood a little bit so they look more interesting, kind of like a distressed jean type of situation if that makes sense. Oh and of course I want to use fabric and string again, but I want it to all look shredded and hanging down. I should probably plan in my sketchbook a bit more before I start building.
